A publication in Deutsches \u00c4rzteblatt by physicians from the university hospitals of Aachen, Munich and T\u00fcbingen (<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/41511004\">Deutsches \u00c4rzteblatt<\/a>, 212 patients) compared app-based therapy with conventional physiotherapy.<\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"5\">Significant therapy success in comparison<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"5\">In the <strong>study with 212 patients<\/strong>, the results of app-based therapy were compared with those of conventional physiotherapy. The results underline the effectiveness of the digital approach:<\/p>\n<ul data-path-to-node=\"6\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Vertidisan app:<\/b> 88% of users reported a marked reduction in vertigo thanks to the integrated exercise videos.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"6,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Conventional physiotherapy:<\/b> Here, a comparable improvement was achieved in just under 25% of patients.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"7\">An advantage through regularity and availability<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">According to Stephan Wolpert, senior physician and head of the vertigo centre at the University ENT Hospital in T\u00fcbingen, this is mainly due to the <strong>regularity of the exercises<\/strong>. He was involved in the study himself: &#8220;We were able to show that an app like this can care for patients better than referring them to a physiotherapist.&#8221; This is <strong>not a question of the quality of physiotherapy<\/strong>. Rather, health insurers only cover <strong>six sessions per prescription from a general practitioner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"7\">One patient in the study describes the outcome after four years of chronic vertigo as <strong>&#8220;a small miracle&#8221; and reports feeling &#8220;like a normal person&#8221; again<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 data-path-to-node=\"9\">Technical implementation and certification by QuickBird Medical<\/h2>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"9\"><strong>QuickBird Medical<\/strong> supported the project as <strong>strategic development partner of Digitineers<\/strong>. The team was responsible for the complete technical implementation of the app in compliance with medical device regulatory requirements.
