Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Starts Efficiency Reviews for DiGA Prescriptions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>efficiency requirement (Section 12 SGB V)<\/strong> obliges health insurers to provide services in a way that is <strong>objectively necessary<\/strong>, <strong>sufficient<\/strong> and <strong>economical<\/strong>, and that does not cause <strong>unnecessary costs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, services must not compromise the <strong>quality and effectiveness<\/strong> of care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\"><strong>AOK Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg<\/strong> has now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aok.de\/gp\/verordnung\/wirtschaftlichkeit\/baden-wuerttemberg\/diga\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published a notice<\/a> stating that it will begin applying <strong>efficiency reviews to DiGA as well<\/strong> from the second quarter of
