href=\"https:\/\/health.ec.europa.eu\/latest-updates\/mdcg-2025-4-guidance-safe-making-available-medical-device-software-mdsw-apps-online-platforms-june-2025-06-16_en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MDCG guidance 2025-4<\/a> for medical devices under the MDR.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">In future, <strong>medical device apps in the Play Store<\/strong> will carry a &#8220;Medical Device&#8221; label, for example.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28488\" Developing Medical Device Software<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The policy takes effect <strong>on January 28, 2026<\/strong> and has already been published as a preview: manufacturers will then have to declare their apps <strong>correctly in regulatory terms<\/strong>, make <strong>data processing transparent<\/strong>, clearly label <strong>medical claims<\/strong> and pass a <strong>security
