In an article on DiGA<\/strong>, Apotheken Umschau addresses familiar points of criticism<\/strong> such as costs and prescription numbers, but draws an overall positive conclusion<\/strong>: for many people, DiGA are the only way<\/strong> to currently obtain fast, low-threshold care for widespread conditions<\/strong>. Without DiGA, they would in most cases be left with no medical help at all in the case of obesity, for example, explains Dr Madlen Scheibe, head of the digital health research area at Dresden University Hospital and TU Dresden. The ImplementDiGA<\/a> project also runs there, examining how DiGA have been implemented in standard care so far and how effective they are.<\/p>\n

From the patient perspective in particular, DiGA come off very well:<\/strong> for the majority of patients in the study, both health and quality of life improved. Difficulties caused by illness were easier to cope with, and patients learned a great deal about their condition and its treatment.<\/p>\n
