{"id":27767,"date":"2025-02-26T13:20:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-26T13:20:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=27767"},"modified":"2026-09-03T13:53:56","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T13:53:56","slug":"second-pecan-application-france-rejected","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/en\/news\/second-pecan-application-france-rejected\/","title":{"rendered":"Second PECAN Application in France Rejected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The second <strong>application for reimbursement under PECAN<\/strong> to date has been <strong>rejected<\/strong> in France.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>reasons given for the rejection<\/strong> are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Proof of clinical benefit<\/strong> was provided solely on the basis of a literature review. Its <strong>data<\/strong>, however, comes mainly <strong>from the USA<\/strong>, and only <strong>20 percent of the studies<\/strong> were conducted <strong>in the intended patient population<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>studies included<\/strong> were also only able to demonstrate <strong>moderate effectiveness<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>study running in France<\/strong> with the digital therapy has <strong>not yet been completed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The HAS (Haute Autorit\u00e9 de Sant\u00e9) did, however, <strong>expressly point the manufacturer<\/strong> to the option of applying <strong>directly for permanent reimbursement<\/strong> via inclusion in the LPPR once the study is complete.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">As always,
