It was heavily criticised from many quarters: the Healthy Heart Act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The reallocation of funds away from the prevention<\/strong> of cardiovascular disease in favour of medication in particular has come under fire.<\/p>\n

Changes are now planned<\/strong> that are intended to strengthen the use of disease management programmes<\/strong> (DMP). In essence, DMP would then already be opened up to people with statutory insurance who are at high risk<\/strong> of cardiovascular disease. Patients could therefore take part before the respective condition manifests itself.<\/p>\n

For DiGA manufacturers<\/strong> this is relevant, because the DigiG provides for DiGA to be included in disease management programmes. This would recognise DiGA as a fixed component of standardised care<\/strong> for certain chronic conditions and integrate them into treatment plans. For diabetes mellitus, for example, this is already being planned concretely.<\/p>\n

Fundamental criticisms<\/strong> of the act are not addressed<\/strong> by the planned changes, however.<\/p>\n
