Other groups of doctors are also valuing their use more and more. This is the conclusion of an <strong>online survey by Stiftung Gesundheit<\/strong> among GPs, specialists, dentists and psychological psychotherapists in private practice, as well as members of non-medical health professions.<\/p>\n<p>One positive finding is that <strong>44.6%<\/strong> of the <strong>GPs<\/strong> surveyed say they prescribe DiGA at least <strong>occasionally<\/strong>. The share among the psychological <strong>psychotherapists<\/strong> surveyed who include DiGA in their patient care <strong>at least occasionally<\/strong> is also remarkable at <strong>35.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">Among members of non-medical health professions, the group of participating <strong>speech therapists<\/strong> stands out: <strong>45.7%<\/strong> say they have already integrated DiGA into everyday treatment.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28506\" src=\"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Prescription-of-DiGA-in-medical-practices-by-practice-area-and-their-use-by-non-physician-healthcare-professionals-by-practice-area.webp\" alt=\"Prescription of DiGA in medical practices by practice area, and their use by non-physician healthcare professionals by practice area\" width=\"1166\" height=\"1250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Prescription-of-DiGA-in-medical-practices-by-practice-area-and-their-use-by-non-physician-healthcare-professionals-by-practice-area.webp 1166w, https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Prescription-of-DiGA-in-medical-practices-by-practice-area-and-their-use-by-non-physician-healthcare-professionals-by-practice-area-980x1051.webp 980w, https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Prescription-of-DiGA-in-medical-practices-by-practice-area-and-their-use-by-non-physician-healthcare-professionals-by-practice-area-480x515.webp 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1166px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Survey participants see a major advantage in <strong>using them for prevention and screening<\/strong>, closely followed by <strong>therapy support<\/strong>. Psychological <strong>psychotherapists<\/strong> in particular believe, according to the survey results, in the <strong>potential of DiGA<\/strong> especially in <strong>aftercare<\/strong>. Members of non-medical health professions would like to be able to <strong>prescribe DiGA reimbursably themselves<\/strong> in future: many patients do not take the detour via the doctor&#8217;s practice, which means a lot of the potential of DiGA is lost.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28787\"
