Support for Sharing Health Data With Research Without Consent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Technology and Methods Platform for Networked Medical Research (TMF) has published <strong>current survey results<\/strong> on the <strong>use of health data for research<\/strong> without consent, as also provided for in the GDNG (Health Data Use Act):<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>GDNG<\/strong> provides for <strong>patient data<\/strong> to be shared <strong>for research and care purposes<\/strong> under strict data protection and security safeguards, in order to improve medical research and the quality of healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>The representative survey was conducted in 2023 by the polling institute <strong>forsa<\/strong> with around 3,000 respondents.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>publicly funded research<\/strong>, <strong>86%<\/strong> of respondents support sharing without their explicit consent, and <strong>only 4%<\/strong> consider this <strong>&#8220;very bad&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">For <strong>privately funded research<\/strong>, support still stands at <strong>66%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-28510\" accordingly to <strong>use the situation to implement<\/strong> data donation and at the same time &#8220;to embed greater health data literacy and thus, in return for dropping information and consent
