{"id":28825,"date":"2026-06-18T10:06:50","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T10:06:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=28825"},"modified":"2026-09-03T10:13:23","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T10:13:23","slug":"eudamed-mandatory-modules-may-2026","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/quickbirdmedical.com\/en\/news\/eudamed-mandatory-modules-may-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"EUDAMED: Four modules will be mandatory starting in May 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On May 28, 2026, the <strong>six-month transition period<\/strong> following the <strong>European Commission\u2019s declaration of functionality<\/strong> dated November 27, 2025, ended.<\/p>\n<p>As of that date, <strong>the first four EUDAMED modules<\/strong> are <strong>mandatory<\/strong> for all market participants.<\/p>\n<p>These modules are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actor <strong>registration<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>UDI and product registration<\/strong> (UDI\/Devices registration),<\/li>\n<li><strong>Notified Bodies and Certificates<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Market<\/strong> Surveillance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyone who previously used parallel national reporting channels or voluntary EUDAMED entries had to process the corresponding registrations and mandatory information via EUDAMED from this date. The <strong>Vigilance<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>Clinical Trials\/Performance Studies<\/strong> modules <strong>are not yet mandatory<\/strong> ; their application will follow a separate functional explanation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"last-child\">The European Commission provides the following information: <a
