Five years after the introduction of DiGA<\/strong>, usage continues to grow<\/strong>: By the end of 2025, approximately 1.6 million activation codes<\/strong> had been redeemed, including about 690,000 in 2025<\/strong>. In total, this corresponds to over 1.7 million cases of care.<\/p>\n

At the same time, hurdles<\/strong> persist in day-to-day care<\/strong>. Access is considered complex and often delays the start of therapy. Awareness<\/strong> of DiGA also remains a limiting factor.<\/p>\n

At the same time, there are tensions regarding the assessment by the GKV-Spitzenverband<\/strong>. In a statement, the SVDGV specifically criticizes the way pricing, the level of evidence, and usage are presented in the current GKV report.<\/p>\n

The two reports thus demonstrate one thing above all: While usage continues to grow, key questions regarding access, evidence assessment, and system integration remain controversial.<\/p>\n
