Pilotversuche.ch<\/span><\/h2>\n

Pilotversuche.ch<\/strong> is the central online platform for organizing and conducting the largest cannabis study in Switzerland<\/strong>. It enables a complete onboarding process<\/strong> for study participants, ranging from the collection of entry questionnaires<\/strong> to the collection of all relevant data<\/strong> (health, personal, etc.) and the preparation and planning of an intake interview<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The platform supports the randomization and allocation of study groups<\/strong>, taking into account factors such as location and social contacts.<\/p>\n

It also monitors participants’ consumption<\/strong> and offers a comprehensive harm reduction module<\/strong> with podcasts, a consumption diary and a self-monitoring module.<\/p>\n

Challenge<\/span><\/h2>\n

The development of the platform required the seamless integration of POS systems<\/strong>, compliance software<\/strong>, store systems<\/strong>, payment service providers<\/strong> and online calendars<\/strong> to ensure a smooth process and data exchange between the various components.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest challenges was to ensure the anonymization of the participant data<\/strong>. At the same time, measures had to be implemented to control and prevent misuse in order to ensure the integrity of the study.<\/p>\n

Process<\/span><\/h2>\n

In close cooperation with study organizers and scientists from the participating universities, a<\/strong> holistic, user-friendly design was created<\/strong> with a focus on a functional and intuitive interface that optimally implements the specific requirements and system integrations of the study.<\/span><\/p>\n

QuickBird Medical has developed the platform in accordance with the highest data protection and data security requirements<\/strong>. This ensures that the study participants’ data can be reliably and securely recorded, stored and assigned. <\/span><\/p>\n

Result<\/span><\/h2>\n

QuickBird Medical has successfully implemented and launched the \u201cPilotversuche.ch<\/a>\u201d study platform together with Swiss Cannabis Research<\/strong>. The software now serves as the central hub for the largest cannabis pilot study in Switzerland<\/strong>. The pilot project involves several thousand participants<\/strong> and serves as a basis for future studies in Switzerland, which can build on the knowledge and experience gained. The study started in May 2024 and is scheduled to run for five years. <\/span><\/p>\n

Future<\/span><\/h2>\n

Online surveys are conducted by the independent research<\/strong> team 6, 12, 24 and 48 months after the start of the study. In addition, all participants will be invited to participate in regular health status surveys via the platform.
