The current VC funding report by Pulsewave reports strong funding rounds in the first quarter of 2025. In total, 101 deals were closed with a total volume of 1.44 billion euros.
Of this, according to the report, 342 million euros is attributable to the 18 German deals alone. Overall, AI-based solutions continue to be able to attract deals.
Manufacturers of patient portals are also currently receiving many orders thanks to the funding from the Hospital Future Fund: 1,130 hospital operators have applied for money from the fund’s total of 4.3 billion euros so far, and there were 1,533 applications for setting up digital documentation.

Not all projects have an easy start, however: the major project “Mein-Krankenhaus.Bayern” for more than 110 hospitals has lost an important partner after Siemens Healthineers unexpectedly withdrew. A new partner has since been found in The I-Engineers from Switzerland.
