Advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) open up innovative options for treating rare and severe diseases. However, these therapies require special care and communication structures that do not yet exist. This is the challenge the flagship project INTEGRATE-ATMP is taking on over a four-year study period.
Thanks to 13.6 million euros in funding from the Innovation Fund of the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA), INTEGRATE-ATMP is paving the way for harmonised structures in patient care. QuickBird Medical, together with its partner Designit, was selected by the consortium leadership to develop the telemedicine platform alongside the INTEGRATE-ATMP project team at Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD).
The telemedicine communication platform enables structured, direct communication between hospitals, treating physicians and patients, and simplifies the exchange between everyone involved in ATMP treatment (patients, physicians, case managers). The aim is to take pressure off patients in their everyday therapy and off treatment centres in their everyday care. A first version of the platform has been developed and is currently being tested by the INTEGRATE-ATMP project team at UKHD.
