It is now settled: from April 29, the ePA can be used throughout Germany. After the trial in the test regions had been completed, the then health minister Lauterbach was still vague, but on April 15 the shareholders of gematik received a letter from the Ministry of Health setting out the nationwide launch of the ePA for all.
According to the letter, the test phase in the model regions showed that the ePA is ready for use and has already arrived in everyday care.
