The gait robot THERY from TEDIRO Healthcare Robotics GmbH has received CE marking as a medical device, marking a milestone in modern gait rehabilitation. The innovative device is one of the first autonomous mobile robots in healthcare to be approved worldwide and is designed to help patients relearn walking safely and efficiently after surgery on the lower extremities.

The development of the associated therapy management system was handled by QuickBird Medical. This system is crucial for integrating THERY into everyday clinical practice, as it makes the robot easier for professionals to use and enables structured control of therapy processes.

Field test in Leipzig

During a field test in Leipzig, QuickBird Medical was able to try out the robot itself. THERY accompanies patients during gait training with forearm crutches and analyses their gait pattern using video recordings. The robot automatically detects deviations and gives individual suggestions for improvement for further rehabilitation. This combination of robot-assisted training and intelligent software is intended to significantly increase the quality and efficiency of rehabilitation.

Partnership with TEDIRO

The close collaboration between QuickBird Medical and TEDIRO Healthcare Robotics in developing the therapy management system ensures that the robotic support is complemented by a digital platform that optimises the rehabilitation process and enables precise analysis of therapy outcomes.

With CE approval and the integration of THERY into clinical operations, a significant step forward is being taken in digital medicine and rehabilitation.
