How do coronavirus apps really work, and how secure are they? These questions were at the centre of the interview with Stefan Kofler, managing director of QuickBird Medical, published in the Südtiroler Tageszeitung, one of the highest-reach media outlets in South Tyrol with around 200,000 readers.
In the interview, Kofler explained how the Immuni app, the Italian counterpart to the German Corona-Warn-App, works technically, which data protection aspects are decisive, and why trust and transparency are central to the acceptance of such apps.
Particular emphasis was placed on:

the anonymised exchange of risk contacts,

and the question of how secure health data in such apps actually is.
